1.     Introduction

We are excited about our second event in the summer of 2022 and we want you to be informed about what we do with your personal data.  This Privacy Notice will let you know exactly what happens to your personal data and how we keep it safe and secure.

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time, so please do check back in to stay informed.

2.     Who are we?

Park House Opera was conceived and is managed by Robert & Sam Salvoni. We are based at Park House, St Clement, Truro, TR1. Our ICO Registration Number is ZA510661.  We are a Data Controller as defined by the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.

You can contact us by emailing robert.salvoni@btinternet.com

3.     What about your Personal Data?

When you visit our website: we use cookies on our website.  These cookies are essential to ensure that the website works correctly. We don’t have any third party cookies, pixels, beacons or tags installed on the site.

When you purchase from our website: we will collect your name, postal address, email address, phone number and payment details.  This is so we can fulfil your order and our contract to you. We may also collect some special category data from you; such as details about allergies and any accessibility issues you may have. This is so that we can offer you the best experience of our event and so that our catering partners can accommodate your dietary requirements. Details of dietary requirements will go to our event catering partners and your accessibility requirements, if appropriate, will be shared with our Event Partners on the night to ensure your safety and enjoyment.

PHO will keep records of purchases for 7 years according to HMRC guidelines on our secure system.  Any paper records are shredded, particularly those with special category data, when no longer needed.

When you join our marketing list: We will collect your name and email address.  If you are prospective customer, this will be by your consent.  If you are a customer of ours, you’ll be on the list because we have a legitimate interest in sending you marketing communications.  In either case, you can opt out at any time.

When you are one of our marketing list, we will keep your data for as long as you consent to us sending you news of our offers and events.

If you send us an enquiry via email, social media or the website: We will answer your enquiry and enter into correspondence with you.  We’ll keep this as long as is necessary and then for a further 12 months.

4.     What communications will you receive from us?

Non-Marketing Communications

If you have ordered a ticket for our event:  we will send you communications regarding your ticket, information about the evening by phone, text or email to let you know information relating to the event.

Marketing Communications

Our marketing emails give you information about our event and tell you when you can purchase tickets.  More information about our events will be on the website, so if you decide to unsubscribe, please keep an eye on information we publish on this site or on our social media pages.  We occasionally may tell you about other related art events in our area that we think may be of interest to you.  These may be shows at the local cinemas or in local theatres or arts venues.  We don’t have any formal arrangements with venues other than a mutual love of the arts.  No personal data will be passed on to any other venues or organisations for marketing purposes.

If you’re our customers: we’d love to send you updates on future events as well as opportunities to purchase drinks in advance at the Opera event in June 2020. When you purchase, we’ll check with you that you’re happy to be on our list and give you the opportunity to opt out.

If you’ve not purchased your ticket and are just interested in our event: you are welcome to subscribe to our email marketing list from our landing page or website. We’ll keep you in the loop about when tickets are on sale and future events.

If you are on our email marketing list, and you decide to opt out, your data will then go onto our ‘suppression’ list which means that we won’t email you again by mistake.

5.     What sort of Marketing do we do?

We will be publicising the event on our social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.  We occasionally use paid advertising within these platforms.  If we use custom audiences and transfer your personal data from our database, we will only do this with your express consent.  If you choose to follow us on our social media sites, we will see your name and such details as you choose to disclose.

Our Email Marketing is done via Mailchimp and we’ll be able to see how successful our email campaigns are by gathering data such as open rate and click through rate.  This helps us to improve our service to you.

6.     Who do we share your data with?
